Mark Pollitt The Magic Of Long Exposure (York Minster

In the heart of the UK lies the timeless city of York, a UNESCO-recognized hub for Media Arts. Boasting a legacy stretching back almost two millennia, this ancient Roman-founded gem continues to beckon millions of visitors annually. Central to York's allure is its deep-rooted culture, brimming with festivals, notable events, and a vibrant music scene.

Of all the subjects I've captured through my lens, York Minster remains my perennial favorite. With shots spanning various seasons, a particular photograph stands out as the crowning jewel.

One evening, I perched high above the city, gaining an almost avian perspective. I meticulously positioned my camera and tripod on a rooftop edge, aiming to encapsulate the city's dynamic pulse. In the frame, light trails weave a tapestry of color across York, with its majestic centrepiece - York Minster. This awe-inspiring cathedral, established in 627 AD, undoubtedly steals the limelight in the photograph.)
